A running list of various updates to the site, including both behind-the-scenes fixes and new content.

2026

January 2026

• Continuation of site overhaul 😅 …it’s a lot
• Replaced ALL other png/jpg images on the site with webp, with improved alt text
• Removed alt text in many cases where images were decorative
• Uploaded refreshed pngs for use with Open Graph (not all platforms consistently serve webp yet…)
• Migrated from .com to .org

2025

December 2025

• Major rework and cleanup of the site’s layout and styles – archives are now full-width, for example
• Built a lightweight form plugin and replaced Forminator (3rd party plugin)
• Updated the Privacy Policy accordingly
• Refreshed all featured images (posts AND pages) at a standard size
• Converted site logo and all new featured images from png to webp for performance
• Removed obsolete image titles
• Improved accessibility of breadcrumbs and nav
• Improved alt text, better use of .screen-reader-text class and aria-hidden=true
• Added a new Contributors page
• Updated the primary nav menu and added new categories

November 2025

• Various improvements to templates and security
• Added FAQs and FAQPage schema to category archives
• Improved the output of titles and meta on paginated pages

October 2025

• Published an interview with Morwen of Cryosphere!
• Fixes to prevent comment spam, block spam bots (it was getting out of control…)
• Fixed an issue that was preventing FAQPage schema from being applied to pages with FAQs

September 2025

• Published an interview with Niymiae of Lumen et Umbra!
• Added Titans of Text podcast to Resources (Spotify link)
• Moved the site to a different host
• Configured caching, security, etc.
• Updated Litlyx script for cookieless analytics

August 2025

• Published an interview with Asmodeus of MudVault!
• Fixed the aria labels for top bar social buttons
• Swapped out Threads button/link for GitHub
• Fixed centering of images with captions
• Started this updates page
